Narrative Design online course
This course offers an introduction to narrative design as a model for change that works at both individual and collective levels. You can use it to reduce change fatigue and increase the alignment of resources with outcomes—while achieving greater results.
The model is based in integrative development, a unified theory which brings together adult development and organization development. It represents a fundamentally different approach to growing people and organizations with a vision for creating cultures of contribution.
Narrative design has been used to develop innovative programs and projects on leadership, coaching, change and talent. It provides a strong theoretical foundation and a set of practical processes to help organizations make the great Shift to a new paradigm and platform from which to meet the future.
Join us for a rich and provocative course that will transform your thinking about how you approach development and change. It will enable you to integrate the best of OD, learning & development, and coaching in one frame you can use to create better futures for people and organizations.
This 10-week online course is a great opportunity for you to get ahead of the professional curve by learning how to use an integrative frame. There is an increased call for practitioners who can connect the dots between disciplines and help organizations courageously and creatively engage in change at all levels. It is a call to move beyond business as usual and contribute a new way of working.
You will receive key elements from my forthcoming book on narrative design as part of the material sent to you each week. In true integrative fashion, I am inviting forward-thinking colleagues such as yourself to contribute to this work and the book so that we can start to grow a community.
I will contribute to you through the material, discussions and consultation on your projects as early adopters of this work, you will contribute to me by investing in the course and strengthening the book. Together, we will contribute to and helping shape this work’s future. I will also, with your permission and attribution, use some of your case stories about how you applied this work in the book.
As a gift for signing up for this inaugural course, you will receive two autographed copies of the book when it is out (estimated July 2016). Keep one and give the other to key person in your project.
As leaders and managers, we have to motivate our people to come up with workable solutions to problems that weren’t even on the radar screen when they were hired. There's no operator's manual for most of what we’ll ask people to work on. . . . But somehow, together, we will figure it out. ~ Beth Comstock, Chief Marketing Officer, GE
